Camp Fitch YMCA – JR Outriders Camp

Camp Fitch YMCA is a Great Camp on a Great Lake working every day to make kids better, forever. The Junior Outriders Focus Experience is for kids who want the best of both worlds: spending the first half of their days engaging in play through activities in our Flagship Summer Camp, and afternoons with hands-on learning in horsemanship. Junior Outriders learn to ride, groom, and tack our herd of about 14 trained horses. This program helps campers develop empathy and stewardship—crucial skills when working with animals and people—and form strong bonds not only with the horses, but with each other as they grow together. Our Centofanti Equestrian Center is a state-of-the-art facility that includes stables, an indoor riding arena, an indoor learning lab, and nature’s outdoor classroom. Staffed by our CHA-certified Equestrian Team and a qualified staff of riding instructors, the Junior Outrider Focus Experience is perfect for beginning to intermediate riders.
