What Is the PA Pass Champions Program?
The PA Pass Champions Program is a year-round opportunity for families to claim their place as leaders in Pennsylvania’s outdoor recreation community.
Champions actively use their PA Outdoor Adventure Pass and share their real adventures with their networks — inspiring other families to choose adventure while supporting the mission of the Pennsylvania Outdoor Recreation Association (PORA).
This isn’t about perfect posts or polished storytelling. It’s about real families, real experiences, and real momentum showing what’s possible when you own your adventure year.
Pass Champions are families with a 4th or 5th grader who bring genuine energy to outdoor adventure.
Who Can Be a Pass Champion?
Ideal Champions:
- Tell their story authentically, valuing real moments over polished content
- Share their adventures publicly using social media to bring others along
- Choose adventure consistently: from first-time experiences to repeat favorites
- Enjoy trying new places and mixing up their adventure year
- Lead by example: inspiring friends, classmates, and communities to get outside
- Support local outdoor providers and enjoy spotlighting small businesses
- Like being part of something bigger, helping grow outdoor recreation across Pennsylvania

How the Program Works
Recruitment is ongoing throughout the year. There’s no single start date or limited window. Once you enroll, your Champion journey begins.
From that moment on, every adventure counts.
Share Your Adventures (Your Way)
As a Pass Champion, you help bring the program to life by sharing your experiences as they happen.
Here’s how you own it:
- Share at least one post for every PA Outdoor Adventure Pass visit
- Tag @PAOutdoors, the provider you visited, and use #PAPassChampions
Most importantly: keep it real. Share your family’s genuine experience, not a highlight reel.
